The PetstoreI dunno how many people have seen the dogs you can get in SL... but there's a petstore in the region called Pawaii (grean pun name, btw) where you can buy 20 or so breeds of dogs (and 3 cats) that can follow you, sit, stay, fetch, play, guard stuff, attack people and do a few other random diggie things.
Everyone should check it out if they're interested. It's $L500 for the dog or cat itself, and the commands can be purchased for various amounts or a package of all of them for $L1000.
There's a few other stores in the region that sell doghouses, food bowls and such... The pets are in the large main building on the island with the columns out front.
